Titanium CRANK? How big are the main bearings?

I knew Ti was noodlier than the Flying Spaghetti Monster, but I was shocked when I heard that some engine builders have to size Ti connecting rods .0075" out of round so that it has a hope of not running the bearing shell edges into the journal.

Crank?

I kinda wonder if journal bearings are part of the equation when using Ti crank and rods. I don't think I really wanna know. That stuff kinda likes to gall, from what I hear. All roller bearings? What the hell, it's not like whoever built this is worrying about money.
Beryllium pistons.... whoopsie, you don't wanna breathe in even the tiniest amount of dust from machining those, too bad, it' s been nice knowin ya...

Ti rods aren't that big a deal - even steel rods will be bushed at the little end, and the big end doesn't see any friction except for the sides, and that's a low enough load that they can use coatings for that.

Hmm... what do WRC engines generally use? The only internals I've seen were Skoda (VW) and they were triangles of forged aluminum, nothing too fancy.
