Forum sending way too many emails

Okay, I don't follow topics, I have the setting set to None for default options, yet every topic I reply on gets me sent a shit ton of emails everytime someone replies. I use an old yahoo address so it's not that big of a deal, but when I signed on today to send an email to a yahoo group that has to go through yahoo I had 5000+ new emails, most seeming to be from Rally Anarchy. What the?

your user setting probably has subscribe on. I turn it off long ago.

Yup. Turned that off but it was still sending them. No big deal though, just added a filter to that email address to send them to Trash bin right away.
Now if this site were turboford that would lead to me getting banned since I wouldn't get an email for the almightly leader.

Ha. Just had an idea. It's still sending them for topics that I was 'subscribed to' before I turned that option off, but not for new topics so in theory as threads disappear and die I'll stop getting the emails.

You can turn them off by clicking Show Followed Topics on your profile and then disabling each one

I had the same problem a few weeks ago.
