I am just watching some road racing on Speed channel. I was surprised to see a Total oil commercial. In case some of you don't know, Total is a large oil company from France. It doesn't make sense to me that they would try to break into the American market. I can't remember if they are in Canada. I have seen Esso up there.

Seems they have a presence here. More big sponsors dollars in motorsports is likely a good thing.

I could be wrong but i believe Total is related to Elf somehow. to speculate further Elf is going (gone) away in favor of Total products.

total is in canada. they are currently digging a huge mine site next the site i work at

That it is it... we are taking over Nascar and Drag racing....Not!!! we are just here to remind everyone that Renault F1 has been 7 times World Champion and that Loeb won the world championship 8 times in a row...for god sake!!! Why not!!! Anyway, we love driving and we are not about to stop now...
