TI gives away sample crap all the time. Not often anything I find interesting.

This is a programmable Brushless DC motor controller that is capable of 48 or 96 volt motors. A cheap brushless controller is gonna run you about $150 for something in the 48v range.

This little kit would allow someone to build their own programmable motor controller for considerably less, and I've been wanting to put together an electric go kart for a while now.

We've got two of them coming at least.
I know jack about electrical but know people thankfully.
We have three of those Pastrana style 3 wheelers and a dirt lot. May be time to motorize those and start a new dangerous form of Eurocross...
