Hong Kong rally

So I may be going to Hong Kong for fun pretty soon. I know they used to have a Rally of Hong Kong on the FIA APS in the early 90s, but not anymore. Anyone know more than I do of Asian rallying and where to find info. We can go pretty much anytime between now and sometime in May.

I went to codrive the Malaysian Rally in August for a buddy who lives in HK. Stopped there for a few days to de-jet-lag and sight-see. He's got a little Miata and a ver1 WRX for booting around in. Lots of great roads up the peninsula, but apparently no rallying anymore whatsoever.

The mainland has quite a growing rally thing going on - he actually went to test for one of the teams there. Finding money seems to be a more realistic goal in the area generally (we were fully funded for Malaysia). Malaysia was nuts for rallying and Thailand has a good scene too from what I hear.
