I spent so much damn time figuring out how to get air in my engine, now what about the fuel???
Inyektor size, FPRs.......confusing adjustable fpr's, stainless this, walbro that. TURBOBITCHERS DON"T KNOW YET!!!!!!!!!!!!! WTF!!! You'd think, with all those BITCHING'n'whining nerdzzz, one of 'em would have built a proper fueling system. So what'd Group-A cars do for 370whp...or 330...or anywhere in between? Is my stock K-jetz pumpzzzzzz gonna doiet? I stumbled upon this.... I can only asssssuuuummmmeeee, that information is specific to a 560 series engine.....the big, bad V8....but if their fuel dizzy's were good enough for Volvo Group-A, were their fuel pumps??? I see those cars in the yards all the time...can't help but think that I"m walking past a lotta good fuel pumps... 4-5 LITRES PRE MINUTE.....is that anything like 240-300 Litres per HOUR????????????? Oh, and whilst we're on the subject......how about the accumulators?????? Sounds worth-while.....why did Volvo stop using these with LH??????????? Ohhhhh, it's probably cuzzzzz it was when they went to LH, which is less sensitive, than a carburetor or K-Jet, to fuel pressure inconsistencies......but wait, this is our FUEL we're talking about here, damnit!! Why did they stop??????? |

No a stock lift pump and something gen-u-whine min 150 l/hr Pumps and injectors are overblown like turbos. Bigger is ALWAYS better. Look for the 14mm inlet. That's the clue.. Eh... I'd grab the pumps off a non turbo car. Not sure about the 10v turbos, but the 10v NA cars had fuel pumps with a bit more oomph than the 20vturbo cars.
69436 is the bosch part number *I believe. Found in the 80 and 90 quattros not sure about the 5k's Someone ran one to 475 whp on a 2.2ltr 20v before he noticed dropoff in pressure. My daily car is running 18 psi on 300cc injectors with no fuel supply issues Edited 1 time(s). Last edit at 01/30/2012 11:13AM by aj_johnson. |
