I steal everything from the fancy fastenal style bolt bins @ work
We built our collection at auctions over the years for pennies on the dollar. Bigger plant auctions are the ticket for this sort of thing if you can show up late or hang around til the very end of an auction when they typically sell the tool room / maintenance area. We have two big 5' high rows of blue bolt bins. We don't have enough metric stuff

ALL the hundreds of Alkro bin boxes in lots of sizes and thousands of flod up cardbord bin boxes, AND the miles of 6 foot plus shelf racking were all gotten from Boeing surplus--and that was a carefully jam pack van load of shelving gotten a hour or two before their closing down for Christmas holiday for cheep.
