Alright... So I have a buddy looking to build a rally truck based around his LS swapped S10. What the best way to tie the cage in?

1. Attach it to the floor and make the cab/cage like a safety pod
2. Make out riggers from the chassis and attach it thought the floor to those
3. Attach it to the cab mounts
4. other? ideas? thoughts.

ya ya ya I know John, ladder frames don't make good stiff rally cars... some people don't care for some reason. ;-)

One good thing about the S10 is it has "Metric Chassis" Monte Carlo/Malibu front end pieces, so circle track tubular stuff should be easy to come by and replacement/aftermarket spindles too!

Speedway Motors should have lots of good stuff for yah there.

Matt Pullen has a pretty rad rally ranger. Plenty of room inside for a 6'6 person. He would be a good person to tap for info, or the few others that have built rally trucks. Facebook might be your best bet.

Google "S-10 Rally" and you will find a lot on building either the Blazer or the PU.
