Helper springs w/no spacers - dat work?
January 13, 2008 10:05AM
I finally found some 3in helper springs for the JVAB Sooper Bitchin' - however, the spacers have an ID that's too small to slip over the lower adjuster. I've got 3 options:

1) Go without the spacers - just let the main spring sit directly on the helper spring.
2) Have the tops machined so as to allow the spacer to bottom out on the compressed helper spring rather than the strut top.
3) Find the right spacer - just don't know if they exist winking smiley

Next weekend is a regional rally - what are the risks of going without a spacer? It wouldn't seem likely that it could really go anywhere?

Thanks!

Eibach has them EIB-HELPER300 - found them through CV Products in NC. I'm sure anyone that is an Eibach dealer can source them.

$45 ea
$25 ea for the spacers

BTW JV, where'd you source your springs? Wouldn't those guys have helpers?

Anywho - if you can get that box to me in the next week or so - I'd like to have that rim for Perce Neige...thx!
