Trailer Park Pro-Lite

Well start from the beginning, and problem the best part about this story is y'all DGAF cause it's not a subie or a Evo, or one of those sweet ass Euro girls. You know the ones, unshaved legs, mouth taste like an ash tray. I digress.
Hope y'all are ready for a story as old as time, a man finding his true love.

It all started when I moved from the West coast of this fine country to the durty souf. If seen some rally on Armed forces network when I was stationed in Japan. Even went to a tarmac rally but never really got but by the bug. That all changed when I got to the Carolina South and went to my first proper rally. The sandblast rally hosted my NASA. So I bought a Subaru as any nobard would with aspersions of driving it like McCrea or Solberg. Subaru did not offer the STI in hatchback in '15 so I got a Crosstrek instead. I promptly entered my first rallycross cause I felt I needed to learn to crawl before I could walk the walk. Boy did I have a lot of learning to do!
Let me take you back a little bit further... (Close your eyes and scroll down if you DGAF about dessert racing) it ALL started in Junior high with an SP100 Suzuki dirt bike. That's where I saw the dessert racing trucks skipping across the dessert terrain that I found difficult too navigate my little dirt bike on.
I got my first Baja bug in highschool, then went on to build a Ford explorer that me and my best friend raced and created the TotalPozerRaceing team.(this truck is still alive and well in southern California) We later built a Toyota that we never raced but best to shoot in the desserts.
Back to the rally story! When I moved here to SC I thought I left all that behind. But the rally bug bit me and I started rally cross in the Crosstrek. I got a rusty wrench for my first trophy (for being last in class as well as running the slowest lap of the day). But fuc, I had watched the videos of the wrc guys driving sideways and thought was the way to go. Found out slow and controlled is fast. Ended up getting several first place finishes. But I was beating the shit out of my brand new car!
So I bought the DangerRanger

As I entered more races and realized I was NOT going to break the stock ranger I started upgrading in an attempt to get faster. My plan was simply to not SLOW down over the rough stuff cause, the cars can out corner me any day.

Had an awesome ducking time in that little shit box!

Got some leaf springs off a full size Chevy, got some new springs and shocks. I was rocking about 10in of travel front and rear

Yes-Stock travel is generally more than enough for a dirt parking lot...

What’s the suspension details on this lowered wide ranger you built?

Right now it currently has the beams and rear end out of a 1986 E250 van that has been slightly modified to be equal length beams, and crossover steering, and 64in leaf springs off a 80's Chevy truck. All in all its 21in front travel and 18in rear travel

Also helped out with my friend Jordon rally team Bankrupt Motorsports as they Took on Appalachian tarmac rallysprint and left with 2nd place trophy!

And happy fucking veterans day to all the other degenerate alcoholic fighters for freedom out there! Thank you for your service is just a polite way of them saying it was better you than me

Beside literally EVERYTHING being held together with zip ties and metal glue she made it through her shakedown cruise!
I was having so much fun that I don't have many action pics or video.
(follow my Instagram for more pics/video)
Truck: 1997 frod ranger
Engine: 2.3 4 banger squirrel cage
Time taken to rebuild: 2yrs
Music: Slayer, NOFX, two pack, rolling Stones, etc
Beers drank: few
4 looks pounded: many!
Foot wear and protective equipment: sandals, gym shoes. Squinting when I can't find my safety glasses
Welder: old ass Snap-On
Plasma cutter: high performance cheap Chinese
CageMetal: 1.75x250ft DOM
Suspension builder: TPR junk yard parts

My Canadian friends came down to visit and get married. I got him away from his fiance long enough to take the trailer park pro lite on its first true run since rolling nearly 2yrs ago!
Those jerks cancel the rallyx so we went out to the country where they have the sand blast rally. We ran the stages fwd and back. Despite having no pace notes we were hitting 70-75mph at times and averaged around 50mph (per the GPS, no longer have a working speedo).
About 5 min in we hit a water crossing at full speed and lost the ability to use the windshield wipers, tack, and guages. The GPS still worked so we were good with that! We slowed down for NOTHING! There were washouts everywhere! This thing just floated over it all! Special thanks to Turd_bro_yoda and PartyBarge for their expert shock advice aaaaaaaaaand turdbro selling me the shocks and bumps! It definitely needs sway bars and I need a nut check... Couple of times we had stage 5 ass pucker when we got completely sideways coming into and out of 90ⁿ turns.

Overall I couldn't be happier with the towing experience from the new ranger
Fuel mileage 13.8mpg
Avery speed 70mph highway, and 35mph while driving through small towns.
It easily got up to highway speed and never fell behind on hills.
And phenomenal performance from the trailer park pro lite! For building it in the driveway with all used parts it works damn good!!!
No breakdowns, no stucks, smooth ride, what else can I ask for?

When asked, Canada said "this is totally different than what I'm used to. In Canada we drive really slow over rocks and through mud pit." Saw him using the passenger side break petal quite a bit! Hahahaha

I won't be able to race it at sandblast, but I'm planning to drive it up there.
If any of y'all rally degenerates see me up there say what's up
