yeah, and you are going to empty your welding tanks trying to get that thing hot eonough to braze.

The way to repair that would be to heat the whole thing then weld it with the special rod, but it would never be the same and probably crack elsewhere. You might be able to find a specialist who can fix cast iron, but it wont be cheap.

It doesn't really relate, but back in the good old days we used to fix the melted exhaust ports in our 2 stroke motorbikes with JB epoxy weld! It worked great.

I weld cast all the time ... The hard part is finding the right rod to weld it with...I have a note book I write down what rod I welded what with ... Do some digging theres a welder some were around you who welds cast ... I have a rep for welding cast so cast finds me ... Did you have a brace on the turbo..??

Well.. not only did one side break the other side of the flange broke as well.. I dont have a brace on the turbo, but I do have one on the bottom of the manifold and my exhaust has a 10" stainless flex section in the vertical position on the downpipe..

Ordered a new turbo finally.. It's a 60-1 (T04S) with a journal bearing cartridge and stage three wheel in a .82 5 bolt housing.. Should be fun once I get all of it together.
