Ahh Tom, I'm sure you've seen the build thread photos... the car I got needed a lot more work. Your car was well built and well maintained, so you'll be better off in the long run probably. Plus I will definately miss the open-ness of the main hoop in my red car (has the exact same roll cage), as the V-bar design that isn't legal for any new cars, but was at that time, makes for a wonderfully accessible storage net right behind the seats.

Pete's picture maybe:

To hotlink a photo, you have to put the letters "img" (my quotes) in square parenthesis (brackets []), then the URL of the photo, then "/img" (my quotes), again in the square brackets.

On hotlinking, I've also found that its space sensitive as well. Don't leave any space between the . I think that's correct..

I've never had much problem , and none of mine have leaked. Maybe I'm just lucky. smiling smiley Some assembly lube works well as a lube for the bigger stuff. The -3 mandrel from Summit is a must for brake lines. Makes them simple.

I tried the BBCode like that and it didn't work. Maybe a space snuck in there or something. Thanks for posting it up.

Line #6 is the key. Curse and return to step 3.

There's a Firebird here that probably has more AN in it than my daily driver is worth and two of the -10 oil hoses are leaking. Both are leaking at the flare and one is leaking at the hose/fitting junction. They are both 150deg fittings in just about the worst possible place to have a leak or have to access. (Pontiac with headers, and it has a thread-on style oil filter to NPT adapter, and guess which two fittings are leaking?)

I've had zero trouble with AN lines until now, but it's time for much cursing...

Found John's setup on ebay for ~$70:

mine came off a MB 300 SE:

only thing I don't like is that the way it is plumbed, The pumps push/pull through one another....not sure how that would affect everything when a pump dies...

so for a backup to my OEM pump, can I install an aftermarket inline fuel pump as well and have it NOT run, but wire it up w/a switch so if/when the oem one goes, I can just hit the switch and keep on going?

Bulkhead fittings as appropriate. The braided line acts like a low speed mill on anything it touches.

Here's a pic of my setup - its installed on a 3/8" piece of aluminum, which acts as a skid/crash plate as the setup stays in its stock location under the car.

Each pump is on its own relay and its own switch. Although each pump has a check valve - w/the 10v turbo setup - I tended to run both as it seemed to provide more fuel at 14psi boost.

Now - I have no idea (flow vs. pressure) if turning them both on actually helps or if having one off leads to some sort of bleed back?

The last image, I believe is from one of JVL's rigs...

Why the check valve??? If the pump is on it's under constant positive pressure, no?
