I use the FIA gforces and am happy with em. I did have a set of simpson on the car before but they were expired. The cam is better on the simpson but now that i am used to the gforce dont bother me much

rally gods would turn in their graves if they ever knew Lada's were now part of EU rallying!!!

the gforce cam doesn't reset after you unlock it...you have to manually push it back. Are they all like that? (its all I've ever used).

I liked the belts and everything else, but I didn't like having to push the camlock back every-single-time...

but they're nice for the price.

Personally I'd go with 5 or 6 point Sabelts. Or OMP's

Hmm, I have experienced what you are talking about with my Gforce belts but its probably only 10% of the time. I had TeamTech belts prior to the Gforce and they were sweet..but you can't beat the price for FIA Gforce belts..and they have to be safe right? They are FIA and SFI certified winking smiley.

I prefer gforce over any sabelts belts that I've used.

That's a safety feature. A bit of a pain, but I like it. The idea is that if you're unlatching in a hurry you don't want to flip the lever and have it relatch before it completely releases -- and you sure don't want to have to hold it open to make sure you're free.

For me the, apart from being either 5- or 6-point, the important feature of a harnessis that the camlock be on the sub strap(s) and not on the lap strap. It's a lot easier to snap lap straps in than it is to engage sub straps. HANS compatibility may be a consideration if you're using a HANS.

Interesting, I can buy into that I think.

however, based on Eddie's comment/experience, does that mean his gforce belt was 'failing' the extra latch/saftey about 90% of the time?

Either way, by the end of Gorman I got used to it, and most likely I'll put them in my car next spring.

I've used all kinds of belts, prefer the G-Force 6 point FIA belts the best. Affordable, comfortable, well made.

I had a set of G-force on my last rally car and the lap belts would loosen a little during almost every stage. I might have been the way the belt rode on the seat. I have been running racetech 6 points on the Focus and I really like them. One feature that is not unique to the racetech's that I like are the clip latches. Makes taking the belts out of the car with seat very easy.

You can get the clip-ins from G-Force and they are cheap. I seem to recall was about $10-$20 extra per belt.

Clip-ins are the only way to go.
