Curious is this would be suitable for hill climb / rally.

Go sit in one. I find them horribly uncomfortable myself and wouldn't ride in a car with them. But it's your butt, waist, etc that has to fit into the seat.

i just say a good price for one on the classifieds. I don't know of any i could try out.

They make an FX1 wide which I was hoping was a bargain fit for my "ample" proportions -- but I've heard mixed reviews on the quality of their seats and I believe they've lost their FIA certification as well.

I'm going to check them out at the local dealer and probably buy it anyway if it fits alright.
