Seats, again...

CARS has a "strong preference" for FIA seats but no "requirement" for same -- I'm looking for fat guy seats that will fit happily in my Mini. I fit comfortably in an 18" Kirkey but roundy-round seats are a weirdly asymmetrical and folks have talked a lot of trash about aluminum seats.

Take a look at these:

and tell me why it's a bad idea...

Thanks, Ted

I have my old co-drivers seat which fit him well (he's 6'4, 280lbs or so) Don't know if it'll fit in your mini but it's in Canada and it can be had for cheap.

Have you looked that W offerings from Racetech? Looks like they are similar in sizing to the ones you posted.

Or Sparco Evo L's or Sparco Circuit Pro are both wider versions of their counterparts.

You've also got Sabelt Taurus XL up to 260lbs (might be same as circuit pro)

But I think the absolute widest is Sparco Evo 3.

All are HANS compatible.

I don't have personal experience with any so I can't really say they'll work. It's just a suggestion.

Hi Eric

I've started chatting with David's co-driver via telephone already and I'm also tied up through the weekend.

Do send photos and contact info along if you get a chance.

Thanks, Ted
