I always consider using Alcantra. It's nice stuff and I've heard it's what the WRC guys use on their dash. But we've always just used Hobby Lobby felt since it's cheap, with 3M trim adhesive.
But that's one of those things that is always last on the list. I have felt at the house because we bought it for Mark's car for Cog, ran out of time, and just flat black spray painted the dash. Hobby Lobby felt fades quickly in the sun too. Grant Hughes |

So you can kind of see the window fix on this pic. But more importantly, you can see today's motivator for work tomorrow and Saturday. My Compomotive TH2 17s fit, even without wheel spacers. The ride height is still a bit high in the rear, even with the stock - ~1cm drop mount point. Time for probably some helper springs so I can lower the spring seat. Right now it sits only at the point that the spring is in tension. Can't wait to see some 4 pots through the sides of the wheels, a whale tail on the back, cossie arches on the sides, cossie side skirts, paint, etc! Anyhow, I am stoked.

Check the rates on the rears, I have a single 14Ä 275 downstairs and that makes no sense so somebody may have been shipped a 275 in place of the 175 they shoulda gotten.

Thought about making these in bulk on my day off. But really I don't feel like making more than I actually need, and I trashed my cordless impact punching the holes. Suppose I'll call it good at these. Will look sexy though.

As John once said, very properly, "You don't want to be puking everytime you walk up to the car."
That is why. It is one thing that is an absolute must for me. I have put 100s of hours and over $12,000 into this car. I want to look at it and say, "Holy fuck, that's my car." If that takes me spending some money on a RS500 kit (already done) and spending a little more time making the window proper, I'm willing to do so. Here's a latest idea for design scheme. I'd use different colors of course. Remember, I have all the body parts to get the full look. Grant Hughes |

I don't find that extra pillar to be all that ugly, but I don't get happy in my pants looking at any 80s-90s car in general. That being said that's a pretty good looking car and scheme in that pic. Your determination and hard work is starting pay off. It doesn't look like you're that far off from getting that car on a gravel road sometime soon. Andrew M Onterrible 30ish |

Thanks Andrew. I'm working on it as much as I can, with three jobs, full time grad school and a fiance/wedding planning. Plus building two other cages at the same time. Here's what I spent all day doing. Fucked up the arc on two of them. That's what I get though for not test fitting first.
