Caged and rally ready, what are people finding they can get as a final weight of the 240s and xr4ti.

Or has anyone even bothered. smiling smiley

Oh, I want to know too. And anyone's corolla, golf (not rabbit, too old, do not care grinning smiley), Honda CRX, and fiesta/focus...

Basically, post the weight of your rally car.

Fair enough, not that mine is anything to base shit off of, but the Subaru powered rx7 came in at 2400lbs.

And not to long ago someone weighed a 13b and an ej25, and shockingly they were pretty close to the same weight.

Sooooooooo yeah, there you go. smiling smiley

But mine has an older scca style cage too, I want to see what Phil's new rx7 with the newer style cage falls in at.

Approximately 1 billion pounds for the Tal[hoon]...

No, seriously, with the soft winter tires on with almost 40psi in them, the fronts have significant bulge to them due to how much weight is on the schnoze of the car. I believe the "actual" weight of the car (full load, wet weight, no driver or co-driver) was 3500 or 3600 pounds eye popping smiley

Holy crap, I thought my old legacy coming in at 3000lbs was a fat pig.

I was at 2650 in my XR. Removed 80 or so pounds since then. One day it'll be back together and I'll weigh it again.

My old Xr ready to rally, 1/2 tank gas, all tools and spares was 2730lbs, with 52% front 48% rear weights. The new car I am shooting for under 2700 for sure.

my impreza is somewhere around 2550lb maybe 2600. I'll see if the spec miata guys will let me on the scales at hyperfest this year before the mud gets added.

My YB powered (although it is a "200" block and they are noticeably~~18-20 lbs heavier than "205" blocks) 4x4 drive train with a big heavy gearbox, front prop, front diff, front halfshafts, bigger front knuckles,
all that a 2wd car doesn't have, 100% stitch welded shell, 2000 spec FIA cage, fuel cell, but road car seats weighed---with 5 gallons gas and a spare (road) car tire----weighed--on a certified scale at Graham Cullen Dad's job----
2720 LBs

My overbuilt Saab 96 weighs, again with 5 gallons and a rally spare 2020lbs

My 88 golf was 2450lbs, weighed ready to rally (minus crew) on the scales at tech for some event. I believe it was 61/39.

You fat pigs...

Before the rebuild we were 1880 ish stage ready. ..

A lot of things left in the rebuild, I want to reweigh, but I suspect we're under 1850 ready to go now.

But then again we're talking double digit hp numbers!

My XR weighed in at just under 2800 lbs last time it was weighed. Its probably 50 lbs lighter now but makes it up in the collected dust.
