John isn't the Harbor Freight of rally, more like the SK or Bahco. The JABV would be the JVAB knockoffs Harbor Freight will start making as soon as Global Rally Joker Cross is bigger than NASCAR.

No, there is a burning need amongst some right here to gossip and talk shit about people, even people that may have foolishly tried to help people..
This is the Intra-webz, and talking shit is maybe 50% of the raison d'etre.

That failure has simple cause, and if whoever it was that thought that they were smrat was actually smrat, or if they had been experienced enough to anticipate probable scenarios, or experienced enough about the material they were working with, they would have anticipated exactly what you see occurring and would have concluded the same thing I concluded, and I am far from smrat....

But everybody that can type is all highly intelligent, and if you're schooled in one thing that means you are smart at everything...

That said, that is an easy fix, maybe cost 2-3 packs of American Spirit Blue depending on how many, presuming of course somebody is interested in fixing the problem and not just kvetching.

Only thing I can't understand is why it wasn't already UPSed up to JVAB World R&D Headquarters whenever it it was to fix it.

Trying to wrap my little programmer brain around how that works. Mind attempting to elaborate how you could fix that while still using a 12xsomething nut?

Thanks
Jason

Not really.
Maybe some of the genius who are so smart can elaborate since they're so smart.
When I hear malicious shit makes me just a tad reticent about giving so much away..
If he wants 'em repaired, maybe Grant will eventually get around to telling the guy, or maybe not.

Ok, failed attempt at humor. I'll go hunt around and attempt to figure out how that's done. Just sounded like something I didn't think could be done.

you could tap it (or is it die it?) down to a smaller size. (maybe machine it first) then cut new threads. thread on a really long nut. weld it. machine that, cut new threads.

smiling smiley pain in the ass !! but that's 1 way you could 'fix' it back to the org size.

or maybe some sorta Hela coil fix ?

Scott's entered for Ojibwe.
I think he's hesitant to fix as he doesn't want to end up a few days before the event without struts.
I'll give him you're number about repair John.

Front and rear side by side.
Rear top pins looked weird. A little hourglassy almost.
Interesting that the rears are same length as the fronts.
At about stock ride height there was 5 inches of droop in front meaning it's on bump stops at static and only 2 inches of droop in rear.

They should be on their way to John today along with the bent pin insert out of Merkur.
