I saw a Sport Quattro replica build where they ran a cable through the garage door and used a winch to pull the car to a 45 degree angle so they could weld the bottom.

Too stupid for me to try.

Back in my younger and braver/dumber days a friend and I use his dad's chain hoist attached to the rafters in his 2-car garage. Did I mention that they where WOOD rafters??? Yikes. When they started to crack we just shoved a 4x4 on a floor jack under the middle and kept lifting the car over. Rolled it onto 2 stacks of tires. When finished we just let go of the hoist 6-8 in's and pushed the car over till it caught. Like I said...dumber days. The wood idea looks good but the roll part needs to be just past the side of the car to make it easier to lift.
