Glad to see you've been busy. Went for a darker shade of paint this time. I like winking smiley

I agree with Pat, the paint is a very nice color.
What's new on the car for this upcoming season?

Al can only dream.

This is an oversees build. I believe for rally cross only. For those with the facebooks search Hoekstra Motorsport. And enjoy.

Dreamy indeed, wish mine farted fire like that. Not going to run lean, eh?

Robert, the orange donkey has been up on blocks since Mt. hood. Just been getting around to making new mounts for the upper links in the back that got ripped off. Upon looking, lots of stuff got smashed flat on the underside of the car, bash guards are all bashed up, motor is a few inches from where its supposed to be. Working on getting some propper brake and fuel lines made up. Once all that gets taken care of, I'm scheming on a motor with a little more oomph.

Al, what got ripped off? I thought that whole rear suspension was totally bulletproof.

And how'd you move your motor? Break the motormounts?

Yeah motor mounts are all smooshed up, working on a better set up there. Olympus river rocks > indestructable stuff. Actually, the mounts on the body for the upper arms is rather cheesey, new ones will be more beefy. Mmmm, cheesesteak suspension mounts...

Is it at your house, or over at Tim's? I'd be interested in swinging by to take a look if it's at Tim's.

No Volvo crap here at the moment although Al keeps trying to give me his spare 242 roller. Nothing in the shop today but tiny bike engined road race cars. Currently prepping the Metro-Gnome for a Laguna Seca 8h enduro on Monday and the Z600 is waiting for enough motivation to install the new engine after it burnt itself up.

Not a great picture of this, mostly because of the turd brown color, but at the bottom of the picture you can see captive nuts in the chassis rail, just below the link box. This is the stock mounting point for the upper link. We ripped the driver side nut from the rail, did two or three stages with three links, tacked it back in place at service, broke it again the next stage and proceeded to do the next two stages and 30ish miles of transit. The passenger side then broke as Al backed it off his trailer and into his driveway. Thus providing Al some much needed rectification from his string of dnfs. The old girl held!

Maybe "La-la-la-la-I-CAN'T-HEAR-YOU-Toy-Breakers-r-us'ns"

Not like people don't get warned. OEM captive nut cold spot welded with a 100w Easy-Bake-Oven= failure just waiting.
