Page not loading.

Are they bothering to use the correct doors/roof?

Enough people are shortening ur-q's that someone is tooling up to reproduce the correct roofs. Locating 2-door 4000 shells for windshields/A-pillars/doors is the challenging part.

the 'correct' doors are from a 2-door trunk model (some are known for the 5+5 tag)

First there was the Group 4 car, and the A2. Standard quattro chassis, 10 valve engine, didn't really break much. Most Audi success was with this one, partly because it didn't suck quite so bad and partly because the competition sucked more.

Then there was the Sport. Shortened quattro chassis, 20 valve engine, overheated and broke a lot

Then the S1 E2. Massive wings, everything possible moved to the back (including the alternator for a while!), unfortunately it was up against 205s and Delta S4s and then Audi left Group B.

Revisionist historian, tavarich. Your attitude has been noted!
Group 4 was maybe first year only then al;l the old Gp1, Gp2, Gp4 things expired replaced by N, A and B

I would say the competition sucked, they just didn't have the grip that even those horrible things had, and without the grip, they could turn up da BOOST and make 390 ft/lbs like audi could..they did fantastically well if you ax me.

And actually Jean Marie Ballestre illegally announced at Tour de Corse 86 that GpB would end 31 Dec 86, and they ALL left GpB..
