If you're interested, there's a fair amount of good reading from the Aussie web site "AutoSpeed"

those are fantastic!

It would be nice to see "Grassroots" Motorsports do stuff like this, rather than "we bought car x, ran a lap, bought these shiny parts from vendor y (see ad on following page), and ran 0.1s faster! eye rolling smiley

Here are a few more if you're interested. The best thing I like about the articles on that site is the real world approach. Just because good aero is thought of to be a high tech black art doesn't mean it's not relevant or attainable on the amateur level

well made Amerikuh!
Did it occur to you that there's a huge chance neither the journo or the shop run by hipster 28 year olds haven't really a clue what the fawk they're doing?

In my time on bikes there was one journalist in USA in all the bike companies that was actually good on things, and who could write well.

I stink pretty surely I told him to close off the gaps. Force the air in thru the rad.
Rubberoid sheeting would do for the most part, but often for the ease and price, a nice bucket chopped up works good if its the right color:

Chop it up, cram it in and then
duct tape sealing the edges.. Duct tape comes in lotsa nice colors including some appropriately Sooper Bitchin ones:

It'll be a thing of beauty.

More pointless (as all my cars cool fine) internet reading says more water speed, good ducting, ducting needs curves air can follow, good exit path for the air, more air speed all help.

In the long run reality always wins.

Any testing needs to be done with the skid plate installed.

Underpanel needs the lip to direct air up to the radiator/keep it from going under the car.

Does your hood scoop direct air in or pull air out of the underhood area? Can't quite tell form the pics...

Could be a moot point all this wadiator stuffs. Telephone tuning we found he has some outrageous ignition advance he found talking on some forum. Like 50o advance, and oddly in addition to big heat , the car is a huge dog..
I tried to 'splain that if you light it off way too early the rapidly rising pressure is pushing down on the piston as its coasting up, and that ain't gonna help in any way. Lotta heat and no power...Peak cylinder pressure needs to be AFTER TDC to push pistons DOWN not prevent piston from coming UP..

Mid-high 30s advance with some lumpity cams , sure, but this is a essentially stock motor...
