Think of it; Nascar types go 200 mph with well done but simple 4 link + panhard.

John, I think the Nascar stuff runs truck arms not 4-link. So its kinda like a 2 link suspension.

I agree in this context that a 4-link is way better than some T-bird IRS. I also think duratec is the way to go for a power plant. lighter, more power, bigger displacement options, etc.

"Talk about drugs. Driving a car like that, going that fast, it’s like all the drugs at once." - Tommy Byrne

"Now, Pinky, if by any chance you are captured during this mission, remember you are Gunther Heindriksen from Appenzell. You moved to Grindelwald to drive the cog train to Murren. Can you repeat that?" - The Brain

There was a while in the SCCA days where the rules for PGT or whatever it was called required a back seat. So there were several top spec cars that had something similar built into their cars. I wonder if this guy is racing in some equally absurd class.

Anything Pee with those clowns... That was a large part of where I learned and had reinforced an abiding suspicion and then contempt for SCCA...what absurdities....rules cooked up by idiots, passed by idiots, enforced by idiots, OBEYED by idiots...

And privately every one of them cackling at all the cheats they are trying to pull off..
Weird people.

An equally stupid rule was that the headliner had to be in there.

(groan)

The proof that reality never penetrated into anybody who thought up, wrote up , edited, passed the rules and enforced those kind of rules was this: it costs NOTHING to yank the headliner and seats and conversely it cost a lot of time and effort to work around the seats and headliners all for no rational reason. Mind boggling why anybody would bother dealing with the idiocy of those "production" classes....just to get a plaque.

Some amazing mods, since I don't really want more than two front seats and diamond padding looks like four link would be the best route four what id want to do, looks strong and accurate
thanks so much for the schooling!
love the rollcage integration on four link box being welded
looks to me that stitch welding and a great cage should toughen up my car so that I don't twist up the mono construction with 300 na.hp.

Ask, listen-read, research, learn, weigh, execute, then let er rip

Ya know the funny thing is , is that this kinds of mods is old standard operating procedure way back in the early/mid 70s...and basically everybody prepped their works cars just like this...

And people build their road racers just like this..

Now people look and say "Wow that's way advanced stuff way beyond what any human can do, way advanced, man"

And its none of those things, its simple and its basic, even fundamental work, not advanced.

John hard workin merican dirt boys would have the upper 4 links mounted at least a 1' higher closer to where the shoulder harness bar is. 800hp hookin on wet clay type wheelie traction. Lol Dont think the car will change directions very fast but would look cool pulling the tires off on a hair pin!

Rotisserie, eh?

home build from a pair of Harbor Freight engine stands, $100 in steel and a bit of craftyness...
