I've been running Megasquirt in my rally car for quite a few years now. No problems related to the ECU itself. Though I see more tarmac than you guys, thus smoother - but like I said: No problems here...

management was very good, I found a few areas (cruising) where the maps need adjustment, but it is mostly decel stuff...no pinging on 92/93 octane, good power, masterful throttle response, now to start logging the wideband and a couple of dyno sessions after we get a decent head back on the car

I wish duplesis wouldn't have rolled it would've been hard to catch him on day 2

I just got my harness in from the RS guy. It's a freakin' work of art and only $70 shipped.

for the amount of adjustability that you get with this setup, you just can't beat the price

I'll just post it all here so others can read it without hunting me down winking smiley

#1 -- glue down clock generator crystal with some rtv or hot glue
#2 -- ditch the cpu socket and solder the eprom right to the board
#3 -- make a good shock mount, or put the whole damn thing in a pelican case
#4 -- unless you are a real pro, buy the RS Autosport harness which is an awesome price and you don't have to solder onto those damn DB-35 connectors hehe

After all that it will work fine and be stable off-road. I got it working well in time for Idaho, and the car was doing just fine... 7500 rpm in 5th gear (110-ish with my final drive) on the 16v came up quick a few times on the tarmac smiling smiley smiling smiley
