Used rallytires for Rallycross.....

To those who are interested in such things....

I've nine or so Pirelli rally tires that are suitable for tearing up the grass at a Rallycross.

Size is 205/65-15.

Priced at $30-50 each depending on how nice they are.

Hey John,

I'd be down for a set of those. I'm running 15" x 6.5" Rims.

Currently I'm running 195/55/15 Snow tires...Seems like the 205/65/15 would be a good fit on 6.5" width.

The tires still in pretty good shape or what? What spec do you got for compound and tread type? K2(hard)? K4(med)? K6(soft)?

They're Asymmetrical too yaa?

Thanks

Michael I will go and look at compound. Methinks that they are the hard flavor.

They mostly have the expected torn bead from the dismount.

My tire guy up here at LesSchwaub uses bead sealer as used for Forklift tires (really!) that does a dandy job of keeping them from the typical slow leak at the bead (torn bead or not!!).

Sounds good John.

Take some photos if you would be so kind...

The torn bead won't be a problemo for me when I remount them?

Torn bead is not a problem when mounting them for the guys at the local Les Schwaub.

Do have them use the bead sealer as used when mounting up forklift tires. This takes care of the slow leak that is almost always there with rallytires; even new tires.

Busier than a one armed paper hanger with a 7 year itch?

I'll take 4 of your best Mr. Lane... I'd be nice to get matching tread & cmpd for all the big bucks you want for em and all.. winking smiley

Pics would be pretty freakin sweet...

Mazda's running terrible right now...seems like problems around here are contagious. I think the timing belt has slipped on the crankshaft gear. The cams are both still lined up with each other but the things running like it's way out of time...

John I'm just razzing you! Don't even sweat it in the slightest.

One day we'll do the deal. Until then the tires on the car have tread and are round and that's all that counts.

OK so I'm ready for my stack of used rallytires to be taking up space in someone else's garage and ultimitely tearing up gravel somewhere.

Who in Washington or BC is in need used rallytires?

Give me a ring on (3+1 two five) 1+1 six zero seven seven four six so that we can chat about it.

I've never gotten around to taking pics of them and even if I did I'll never figure out how to get them onto the intersnet. The film just won't spin in the CD holder in this stupid puter worth a damn.

Hey John.
The name's Sam and I'm looking to buy rally tires for my boyfriend. His birthday is this coming Saturday and I'm looking to get him a
set of 15x7 tires. He owns a 2001 2.5rs Subaru that he pretty much loves more than me...
So I was wondering, do you still have the tires? And can you give me more details?
Thank you so so so much!
