A buddy emailed this to me, I thought it might pique the interest of someone looking for another project, or of someone wanting to see photos of a kinda nifty car.

Some good photos available of the car, in a link to some vw forums in that thread. I found it odd that they have the gas tank UNDER the driveshaft...

Damn that thing is cool and RARE! I've never seen one in the states.

I didn't read into too hard.. but I wonder if that thing could be registered easily?

It just so happens that I'm going to MD in a month or so. If it's still there... I'm gonna go check it out.

Any ideas of what the car is really worth?

Ive seen them go for under 5K to over 15K. None that i heard of is legally registered in the US.

rally gods would turn in their graves if they ever knew Lada's were now part of EU rallying!!!
