FYI the Power Slot delivery van is officially back up for sale. This time the Accounting dept. wants it sold as quickly as possible because the annual insurance exceeds the value of the van.
The basics:
• 1998 GMC Savanah 3500 Cargo van, purchased new by Power Slot in ‘98
• Asking price: $1,000 USD. (Asking price for Nigerians: $2,000 and I will refund $1,000 from the purchase price.)
• Approximate mileage: 180,000 miles
• Color: white
• Has functioning A/C and a decent radio
• Forklift impact damage to the side cargo door, but it still shuts and locks. Has an air gap at several points around the perimeter of that door that causes noise inside the cabin and some minor leaking when it rains.
• Limited service records available, but nearly all the routine repairs over the years were done at Rydell Chevrolet in Northridge. They could print out a service history.
• Mechanically pretty solid. New radiator this year. Good brakes (of course) and new tires about 10,000 miles ago. Kept up with all the routine fluid changes over the year. Steering rack leaks a little, but not enough to replace it yet. A/C system was recharged in June, but the mechanic noted a small leak at the compressor.
• Location: currently it is at our City of Industry warehouse, so it’s available for viewing and test drive on Saturdays up to 1pm when the warehouse closes. Available for viewing anytime during the week.
