Junk. Too heavy, too fragile.
Germans don't understand rally.

82,000,000 people and they haven't made a driver in rally worth a damn for 25 years or more.

82,000,000 people and they haven't made a driver in rally worth a damn for 25 years or more.
-----------
It's not lack of talent, it's lack of access to any dirt road. Vettel wanted to be a rally driver but couldn't so he'll be the World Champ in F1.
When you drive around in Germany and see dirt road there's 3-5 FORBITTEN / ACHTUNG signs on it. Not even WRC Germany gets access! They have to use Mickey Mouse military area.
That's why Germans buy property in Finland / Sweden / Norway, to get to enjoy freedom to go anyplace. I've many German neighbors and friends in Finland and they're amazed that you can use anybody's road to roam around. Free.
BTW - I rate Walter nr 2 in the world (behind Seb)
-----------
Finland is full of 4x4 Golf Country models. It's built to go around hi taxers. They took a normal car and lifted it. Good be suitable for rough California rallies! They are not that expensive and believe Finnish dealers made them out of kit. Info: google for Golf 4x4 Country @ www.google.fi .

I think that's Peter Watt's street car. Seriously clean, you'd have to be a pretty serious dubber to pop $20k for a Mk II golf though.

Cooler than a WRX though, but not so obscure you couldn't find parts for it.
