69 404 Peugeot wagon AZ

Got stopped the other day by A guy I know whos A Euro/Frog/car nut ... Hes doing some cleaning out ...Has a 69 404 wagon that going to scrap if know one wants it .. He said $100.00 thats what he has in it .. Or come get it for free .. He just hates to see it go to scrap and it would bring more then $100 for scrap I would think ..His words were .."Its mosty there"

I HAVE NOT LOOKED AT THIS CAR WITH MY OWN EYES...!!!!.. But I can go see it if anyone would like it .. Just told him I would let you all know .. No Euro car lovers up here on Red Neck mountain to injoy it ...

Ask him to offer it in Montreal / Quebec area. They pay well for old Peugeots (and all old French cars). They also buy rust free parts. Put an ad on craigslist.org

I know this is a gas motor cause they never imported the 404 in diesel but I loved my 404 diesels, I saw a '68 in town the same extremely pale blue and I actually got a tear in my eyes so central to life the 404s were when I was racing all accross europe.
It was much more profitable thanks to the reliable and thrifty 404 Diesel.

Yes! Peugeot Diesels were, and are, legendary for toughness. They were Nr 1 taxi car in Finland in '60. Many went over 1 000 000km w/o overhaul! Propably the best French car ever built.
The other thing I admire - 404 had ALL chrome stainless steel.
404 PU was the first FIA homologated rally pu as well, I think. They run many Safaries by locals and once Rally Finland, too. Historic Rally anyone?
John - how many cherries did you pop in 404? I know m-cross dudes were like rock stars in Europe. Heikki Mikkola, Pertti Lamppu, Dutch bros, etc were mega stars.
