Galant VR4 rally car project
April 28, 2010 01:03AM
I have for sale my Galant VR-4 rally car project: caged shell, un-caged shell and eagle talon tsi with full running gear.

Granted it's a fairly large project but it could be done relatively cheaply as I have gathered most of the parts required to get it up and racing but merely lack the time and motivation to finish because I have another stage rally car consuming all of my time and money that interests me more .

Details:
-1992 Mitsubishi Galant VR-4
-Roll cage built by previous owner John Teeter(would require updating to be logbooked)
-fully seam welded
-carbon kevlar under body protection
-Hot Bits gravel rally coilovers
-1 set Buddy club 15x7 white
-1 set mitsubishi diamante wheels 15x6 pink
-1 set falken rally tires
-roof scoop/vent
-spare transmisions (need rebuilt)
-spare engine (bent valves)
-rebuilt non 4-wheel steer steering rack
-new front slotted rotors
-new metal master brake pads
-3000gt front calipers (rebuilt)
-dsm “big brake” front calipers (rebuilt)
-new front wheel bearings
-New moog inner and outer tie-rod ends
-GVR4 Drive shaft
-spare doors
-lexan side windows
-spare rear windshields with defrost
-tons of spare subframes and suspension pieces

** 1990 Eagle Talon Tsi**
Part of the deal is the First car I ever owned
-running driving
-10x,xxx mi
-manual trans
-4-bolt rear end
-Key diver stage 3 chipped EPROM ECU (launch control)
-evo 3 manifold, turbo, O2 housing (unported)
-Road Race Engineering 3” Downpipe, High flow cat
-3” exhaust shop exhaust
-Poly motor mounts
-K&N filter
-Slowboy Racing intake
-2g MAF
-Boost gauge
-RC 550cc injectors
-ACT Street lite Flywheel
-2100lb flywheel
-spec stage 2 friction disc (w/ spare ACT street disc)
-Stainless Braided clutch line
-walboro 190lph pump rewired to run continuosly
-tons of reciepts for parts I’ve put into it over the years
Body is in rough shape and the car hasn’t been registered in a few years because I have only been RallyX’ing it but I do have the title for it and it’s in my name.

**1991 Mitsubishi Galant VR-4 Shell**
I bought this shell mostly for little bits and pieces to complete the rally car allthough not all of the body parts were included to wrap it up including one of the fenders and a windshield.
-no title (was told can File for lost title)

Part of the sale is every part I have for a DSM/GVR4 everything must go!

Located in Portland Oregon.

Make offer, believe me you won't hurt my feelings.

You know the rules....Real name is a requirement.
do it.

Second, do you think that cage will pass current regs, that is important.

Looks to me like the a-pillar WRC bar is too small and it would need a main hoop X and a few gussets. No big deal on any of those though.

I know the cage won't pass current regs but it shouldn't require too much work to update it, I've had this car for a while and have almost completely lost interest in rallying it, My AE86 is much simpler and complete thus being much more appealing.

Back to the cage for a minute...I doubt it is compliant enough to get a log book. It has a halo hoop I believe and the A pillar/half lateral configuration is definitely not compliant.

Hello Rallistas ! I'm baaaaaaaaaaaaaaack !

As the Resident Gaylant Ombudsman, I can offer you $1000 for the whole lot.

The cage has to be completely redone, no need to try to save or update, I wouldn't trust the farm welds.

Drop me a line or email if you want.
