Testing Waters - Corolla Rally Car FS

Selling the Corolla is something part of me really doesn't want to think about, but it is at odds with the part of me that really enjoys building cars and wants to dabble with new projects (along with the fact I barely ever get to drive it). So here I am just seeing what the market feels like. It is a bit tricky to price due to the level of electronics package the car currently has but here goes. I feel it is priced well given the quality and level of turn key competitiveness it offers but it may be that a part out is the only way to sell cars like this....

86 Corolla Rally

I have done 5 rallies now, starting as a complete novice driver in this car. 5 finishes, almost zero mechanical issues, and last 3 events the car has been in the fight for at minimum a podium and sometimes the win in G2. With an experienced driver behind the wheel it could potentially be right with the fastest G2 cars in the country (along with being an absolute blast to drive). The car is also setup with enough fuel system that adding a turbo and going G5 would be fairly painless.

Toyota Beams 2.0L 3S-GE - making 192whp last checked. Runs perfect, never burns oil.
Toyota 6spd gearbox (comes with above engine).
OS Giken lightweight flywheel and clutch - 2 rallies old
Injector Dynamics ID725cc injectors
Custom header to fit AE86. Has individual wideband ports (individual sensor setup not included)
Bosch DBW throttle body - larger than stock. Corvette throttle pedal
Flex fuel ready - can run pump gas, E85 or anything in between the two
Koyo radiator

MoTeC M400 engine management system with logging, lambda, dbw, cam control option codes
MoTeC CDL3 digital dash/data logger with GPS track mapping, comprehensive warning system
Sensors for: oil pressure, oil temp, gearbox temp, coolant temp, air temp, throttle position, throttle pedal position, brake pressure (front, rear), clutch pressure, fuel pressure and exhaust lambda (at collector), GPS, rear wheel speed, etc.
MoTeC PDM30 power management. No fuses or relays in the car, all programmable for fault levels, corrective action, more. Includes CAN based keypad, fully programmable for function of each key.
Wired front to rear with mil spec wire, Raychem DR25 sheathing, mil spec bulkheads through firewall, all new connectors/pins throughout.

Volvo Dana 30 rear axle w/4.88 gearing and welded diff. Bearings are two rallies old.
Long 4 link rear, links and heims all 2 rallies old.
Bilstein coil over shocks on rear
Volvo two piston calibers with Carbotech pads

T3 lower front control arms
T3 front tension rods
T3 Wilwood 4 piston front brakes with Carbotech pads
JVL 40mm front struts (two dry rallies since full refresh)
JVL 50mm front struts (brand new on shelf)
Quaife quick ratio rack (2.25 turns lock to lock)

Tilton hanging pedal set with remote bias adjuster
Sparco steering wheel
Sparco seats
ASD Motorsports hydro handbrake
Safecraft 10lb fire system
Monit rally computer driven from GPS
Helmet net, co-driver light and pocket

Custom fuel tank hanger with dual Aeromotive 340 fuel pumps
All new fuel lines throughout - 2 rallies old
Full underbody protection
Light bar with two PIAA lights
Current log book

Lots of misc spare suspension parts, brake parts, bins of hardware, etc. Also has a dozen or so spare Toyota 14" wheels with various used rally tires on them.

There really is too much stuff to list. Priced at $22k, turn key and rally ready as it sits (was planning to do Hood).

I am sure no one knows the "torn" feeling more than yourself, when you have a lot of time in something. But I have something wrong in my head, to where I just want to start tinkering on a new build again.

New project WILL be rally, WILL be RWD and most likely a G2 spec car again. Other than that, the idea changes daily. LOL

I am happy to hear that you will be staying in the sport.

I think that your price is very reasonable.
