1994 Subaru Legacy OL Rally Car
October 23, 2013 08:32PM
For sale is my 1994 Subaru Legacy Open Light rally car. This is the perfect beginners car, ample power, great brakes, easy to control, and easy to setup. I have learned a lot in this car and looking to step up to a different car now. I’d rather see this car be used by another beginner just because of how well setup this is. If you want to do sustainable rally, this is it. The car is being sold 100% turnkey, belts are current, intercom included, lightbar with great lights and your choice of 5 gravel tires or 5 fantastic snow/ice tires if you want to do Sno*Drift. Get ready to race without any prep, only thing you will need is your own personal safety equipment (helmet, suit, HANs). I will be racing the car this weekend at Perryville if anyone is interested in seeing it up close and in action.

To be honest I was kinda worried I'd jinx myself too. Or that the thought of trying to keep it in one piece would be stuck in the back of my mind and I'd pussy out when driving.

Nah.

I just went for it. I seriously hustled that car as hard as I could given that we had no recce or anything. Foot was to the floor as much as possible. Now looking to step up to a little quicker car, but following the same formula. Simple, reliable, and easy to control.

I learned a hell of a lot in this car, I did seven events with it and every event I focused on improving something whether it be later braking, more commitment to the notes, being smoother with the wheel. Usually met my goals with decent results. If it wasn't for that pesky Pritchard winking smiley it would have been 1st place OL in most of the events. But I have a long way to go before I can match Pritchard, he is just a hell of a driver.
