For Sale is my 1986 VW Golf Mk2 Rally Car (Group 2), Asking $6500 OBO
















5 speed manual
1.8L 8v Motor (runs great, just did an oil change recently)
Mileage unknown

-Rally America Logbook
-Cage Built by Race-Tech Fabrications in 2006
-9 Sets of Silverstone S505 Gravel Tires, 4 mounted on the car, 1 full size spare, and 2 extra spares mounted on wheels.
-6 Unmounted New Michelin GA63 10/65-16 Winter Rally Tires
-New Terratrip Pro intercom
-2 Practice Terratrip headseats
-3 Warning Triangles
-2 Fire Extinguishers, mounted in the car
-First Aid Kit
-Spare Wiring Harness
-Spare Axle
-Installed Roof Vent
-Sparco Sprint 5 Seats, FIA Current until 2017 (Very New)
-5 Point Harnesses, Driver side camlock style, not current, need update

Car has a few more fixes on it, price is now $4500 OBO due to having to move to Alaska in a month and needing it sold for financial reasons.

Shame to have to sell it but gotta do what you gotta do.
Might help to know what suspension....even if its stockish then prospective buyers can plan.

Is the move to Alaska permanent?

Suspension I'm not sure on what it is exactly, and the move will more than likely be for at least 6 months, possibly up to 5 years. Have some photos of the struts on my phone, will upload them here tomorrow, not sure what they are exactly, but not stock, they've got some sort of sleaving on them

Yep, car runs great. Have a guy coming up to tumwater tomorrow to look at it, if it doesn't sell I'll be at the rallycross with it

Car still for sale, was not quite what he was looking for. Got a for sure answer on the cage and that it doesn't require any updates since it does have a log book from before, but the scruitineer recommended adding sill bars. Has a few other things that need to be done, but essentially the cage itself is 'race ready'

I won't be making it down to Vancouver this weekend for rallycross, forgot I had made other plans, but If you want to come check it out on the way back let me know and I will be sure to be home.

Price drop to $3500 this week. Not letting me update or change my original thread for some reason...

Wish this car was closer. I can't afford to buy it and get it back here.

Cage will require sill bars added as well as the lap harness mounts needing redone to be legal.
