This rally car was built to compete at the front end of the Canadian Rally Championship and the car is exceeding fast and extremely nimble. The builder and owner of the car is Barry Latreille and the car is located in Barry’s large garage. Barry is selling the car because he is moving shortly and his new home does not have room for the car and its many spare parts and tires and rims. Barry, being Barry, put a lot of time and money into making this vehicle he intended to use (and win) in the CRC. The car has a CARS log book and is ready to enter an event (save for the new owner providing new competition safety harnesses and name on the side of the car). Details on the Vehicle: Looks can be deceptive and this is true in this case as the shell is that of an Eagle Summit which was sold here in Canada as a 2WD, normally aspirated small four cylinder grocery getter or daily commuter, but really the Summit was built on an Evo 3 frame. Barry changed a ‘few’ things on the frame and changed the vehicle into a 4WD, turbo charged, Eagle Talon drive train with a dog box for good measure. The suspension is made for Canadian rally roads. The car comes with a lot of spare parts including the front end mold, tires mounted on competition rims, light pod, a second dog box and even a Group N gearbox (which needs some fixing). So many parts, that while you can drive the rally car home, you will need something big to carry all the spare parts! The vehicle has been stored inside and only used for trips to the local stock car track and some AutoSlalom events over the past couple of years. The car comes complete with skid pans, electric dual fan competition radiator, fuel cell and a lot of very expensive goodies and, as I mentioned, lots of parts.
