Drew,

The Gen 1 supra's (1980-82 er something, I had an '80) came with a solid rear end with discs.

I'm not sure that the LSD out of the later modes fit that rear, and not sure if it came with an LSD, (mine didn't). It was only like 130 ft/lbs... Fun car though when you are 18!

Gen 1 Celica Supra ('79-'81) came with solid rear differentials with disc brakes but only a 7.5" ring gear. LSD's from a 2nd gen Supra ('82-'86) will fit but are only 2 pinion unless you get a KAAZ or TRD. Only the 8" LSD is 4 pinion. The diff is reportedly able to handle up to 300 hp, or greater when upgraded. R&P can be sourced from front diffs from 4x4 Toyota trucks or rear diffs from the 2wd version. i used and abused a toyota 7.5 for years on the street, parkings lots and rally stages
never an issue.

the 6.7" rear is used in legends and dwarf cars, there is a good spoil out there for them

I would rather drive a slow car fast as a fast car slow!

Duratec needs more power to beat the old Pinto.

I see you that and raise you

just 300 hp and this car can actually apply the throttle and maintain some control.
And go forward

That is a smokin hand you got there John, and indeed I never tire of watching him chuck that Escort around, but I am somewhat shocked at you posting TARMAC clips!! eye popping smiley

This opens up a whole new card game. smoking smiley
Regardez le BMW and it's distinct lack of respect for rubber as it lays down darkies out of nearly every corner.

And to get this back on topic for Drew. Checkout the Anglia WRC. Could be some useful tips as it runs a Duratec.

And a link to some pics.

the tires look like 245 on these tarmac setups. wonder if I could stuff 235 under the rear without cutting up everthing
