The location for rules is here:
http://www.nasarallysport.com/rules.php";]NASARallySport.com/rules.php There are several documents, only some of which are ready at this point. The other documents will be posted when they're ready, and I don't know when that will be yet. Documents Posted:

General Regulations for Rallies, Sections 1 and 2 (Definitions and event operations)
Appendix D (Motorcycle regulations)
Documents Not Yet Posted:

GRR Section 3 (Car regulations)
Appendix A (sample supps and OK signs, etcetera)
Appendix B (roll cage stuff)
Appendix C (rallycross stuff)
________________________________________________ What's changed in the GRR? In order to make the rule book simpler and more accessible to competitors, we took a bunch of the recommended stuff for organizers (like, "have a treasurer" ![]() ![]() Changes were made throughout to make references to "cars" say instead "vehicles", since the rules apply to motorcycles as well. A clarification on MPL was added, in both the method of calculation and the intent that it's designed to help events move along, but that if the lateness isn't hampering the event, there's no need for exclusion in accordance with NASA's spirit of inclusion. Crews are explicitly allowed to help at refueling zones set up adjacent to but outside of a service area. You do have to request your correct minute at a final time control to get by without a penalty. Some small stuff was moved around to clean up the structure, but that's pretty much it as far as any actual rule or procedure changes. Some typos were fixed. ________________________________________________ What's Changed in the Motorcycle rules? The classes have changed. There are 3 modified classes (0-400cc, 400-800cc, and over 800cc) and one stock class (400-800cc). Front and rear blinkers are explicitly required, and allowance to replace them with non-stock units is now allowed in stock. Studded tires are only banned at non-winter events. Other than that, just some minor clarifications. ________________________________________________ I'm going to go ahead and quote myself in advance so I don't have to do it later: ![]() ![]()
As for any questions related to the other documents, I'll get to those after we've posted them. Cheers, Anders Grassroots rally. It's what I think about. |

The changes make that audi powered group B starion idea I've been daydreaming about look like a pretty good "Plan B" to the CRX...
