Tim, shut up and get your car done for Oregon Trail 2007....you shouldn't be allowed to type until you finish, you are trading wrench turns for keystrokes.
WMG is Wasserman Media Group, Rally America's apparently ex-hired sales team. -Tom DemonRallyTeam | Fine Tuning | CTS Turbo & RP Turbos | RalleyTuned | JRM | Meister Autowerks Spitfire EFI | Product Apparel | JVAB Imports | NLS | AP Tuning | USRT Add us on Facebook | Next Event: 2013 Olympus Rally June 22-23 Olympia, WA |

Yep, you're loosing momentum Tim, that's a bad sign Now if you said all your manly strength has been drained away by a new girlfriend who can't live without you and so you've been playing Hide the Zucchini 4-6 hours a day, that's an acceptable excuse. If fact i think we should start a poll to that effect. Who agrees? John Vanlandingham Sleezattle, WA, USA Vive le Prole-le-ralliat www.rallyrace.net/jvab CALL +1 206 431-9696 Remember! Haven't been in rally that long but been in racing forever and whether it's starting in a car you don't want or finding one to build that fits in your small garage, the same thing always happens, you get stuff for it.
More and more and more until you can't get away from that car anymore because you have too much stuff for it. You can't get paid enough for it or bring yourself to throw it all out. That's why I always make sure to tell anybody that asks, DON'T RACE A CAR BECAUSE YOU ALREADY HAVE IT and its free or paid for or you really like it. You need to pick carefully, because you may be forced to race it for 10X longer than you planned because you have TOO MUCH STUFF for it to quit racing it. Once you learn everything there is to know about building a Sunbeam Imp, do you really want to start over and learn it all over for a Humber? You now have 2 years of DNFs and four wasted blocks behind you and the car is running reliably now. I could go on............... But hopefully you can follow my drift and expand on it yourself. A "starter" car has the (strong) ability to become the last car. Antoine's been in it longer than I so I don't know how he started but if I see it correctly, he just recently learned how to finish in the big car. I may be mistaken, but if he learned to go 100% in a Toyota, that kept him off the win list for a few years once he got in 4wd. ACP pushed the LADA 100% and he still does it in the EVO and he goes fast as long as the car makes it (not often). I started in an uncompetitive X-1/9 because, as I was on my way to F-1, I didn't want to unlearn all the talents I'd need to run the competitive Pinto or Vega. |

Mine was no way near that amount of mods. It was not a real open class car but a P4 on which I did a few illegal mods that put it in open, like a non stock airbox, upgraded intercooler (still not even a fmic!) and a few other small things. No doood I read the question exactly as you did. If fact I though "I bet every one of dem fawkers owns their own car, probly have sumpin for the wifey, too" I really could not understand what the point of the cryptic, and poorly worded question was. In one form of racing I once did all across Europe, everybody owned their old moto-cross bikes. Bengt Åberg had his, Roger DeCoster got several of his he won 5 World Championships with, Håkan Carlqvist got his---actually he got something like 85-100 bikes in lieu of salary which would have been just eaten up in taxes, I think Heikki Mikkola got his Huqvarnas and Yamahas he won his 250 and 500 titles. I didnät know what the point was---but it's Richard Miller so who the fuck knows, I don't think I have ever understood eith what he says, why he says, or the general point of anything he has said. See, he's from Texas...... > > -Dave John Vanlandingham Sleezattle, WA, USA Vive le Prole-le-ralliat www.rallyrace.net/jvab CALL +1 206 431-9696 Remember!
