What's the story with VW stud bolts?

They sucked I replaced them with proper studs long ago. Next up I replaced the odd and not likely to be found in a remote service inner CV joint bolts to normal hex heads.

VW's have lots of silly bits that need to be moved, replced, etc.

Try working on a VR6 that is a nightmare.





In the long run reality always wins.

Yeah, like replacing the alternator on a mk4 vr6 that you have to remove the front end (bumper, lights, radiator, condenser, etc) to get to. Book time is something like 14 hours to r&r the alt.
