Here's what's going to save US rally, posted from another forum...

build to suit option put together for an E36 BMW rally car.

What is included in full cost?
Safety/rally:
Base model 325i with roll cage, new Sparco Ergo race seats, new Sabelt or Sparco 6 point harnesses, codriver footrest, and fire bottles.

Chassis:
Full strengthening kit, strut towers, subframes/mounts, camber arm, and sway bar brackets.
M3 engine mounts, all suspensions bushings replaced, upgraded ball joints on rear upper and lower, solid mount rear diff, sump, fuel, and diff skid plates.

Mechanical:
41mm inverted rally spec struts in front, 50mm rally shocks in rear, front camber plates, Porterfield R4 brake pads, cold air intake, cat back exhaust, and performance ECU chip.

Basically everything except paint to get you rallying. Ready to go for CHCA events or add a first aid and spill kit and go stage rally. Upgrades and downgrades are possible and changes to safety equipment may vary due to availability/sizing but base price is $13,000.

Stop beating up on old people. I was skimming through the thread over there. I wasn't paying close attention to who was writing what. Just happened to catch something about someone might try to kill Rally Anarchy.

I have something better: it's called a telephone. It even uses wires and you never have to recharge it or buy batteries for it.

I hear their going to do away with times and start giving start and finish ribbons to everyone. DNF is going to change to TRH (tried really hard).

But what about those who only tried a little? They worked on their car, but didn't show up?

Do they get a ribbon? Shouldn't they in this new world of "winning" is a dirty word.

Anders thinks the next big thing is infinitely prorated licensing.

I think it's a Radiohead model of licensing...every competitor pays what they feel the license is worth.
