The exhaust ports have some carbon deposits (not terrible) How to clean it?








rally gods would turn in their graves if they ever knew Lada's were now part of EU rallying!!!

looks much much much better than the 9a motor you have pics of

the longer rods should help too

I would not bother with those carbon deposits if the head is to be untouched; they are minor. Have you had the head checked to see if the valve guides are worn? Are you going to have head work done?

It looks like i will not touch the head. It was rebuilt about 5K miles ago and some of the parts like cams have 0 miles.
