I will try to remeber to double-check the old Opel parts bin, but I am pretty sure that for John's Manta (and our earlier ones), the stock unit is 16 mm (5/8"winking smiley and moving up to the 19 mm (3/4"winking smiley was what worked. Never tried a 22mm (as I recall); the easily bought 3/4" Chevette was the way to go.....partly beacuse it was easy to get! But I will re-check to make sure I am not off.

Regards,
Mark B.

Correct Mark, stock 'USA spec' Opel is 5/8". Later Kadett C could be had with 3/4", and the Opel 'Sport' catalogs showed 5 different available wheel cylinder sizes...enough to tune the rear brakes to anybody's liking.

BTW, Opel GT Source has the 3/4" cylinders in stock , I just ordered some last week in fact. Oddly, the box says 'Kadett D' on them (front driver), but they fit the Sportwagon I bought them for perfectly.
