That yellow starlet is clean with the baby supra wheels.

I'd hit that shit.

I’m debating on how to set up the diff mounts what would you guys want? A solid
set up or a stiff bushing arm that would fit stock location?

Also I like the idea of the cage mount points on the top so if you want to get
hard core you can use aluminum space and bolt up through to 2 points of the cage.

I'd prefer a stuff ass bushing to leave a little bit of give back there. makes it a little easier if stuff is tweaked and you are trying to replace parts etc.

You could also carve a couple more holes for the control arms so we can adjust the angle of the control arms?

what are you using to model?? I work with Solidworks everyday (at a Solidworks VAR, tech support, training etc) send me some files and i can tweak too...

oh..btw..there are several different stock diff brackets for Subarus.

The WRX used the bar like you have in the original post.

GC SUbarus 98-01 RS's used no bracket but instead the studs on the back of the diff were very long and went direct into a bushing pressed in the x-member.

So...as long as you devise a system that bolts up to the 2 studs on the back of the diff, you are laughing.

I'd prefer if it was a nice piece with a couple bushings..

That looks real good. Box up the lateral arm brackets a bit more and see if you can find a way to make the rear diff mount less bendy. Also, have you thought about the front diff mount T-member? Seems a shame to use the stock piece with that fancy tubular crossmember. Plus the outer bushings for it are huge and squishy and allow lots of movement. Seems like you could design something that would use smaller, stiffer (perhaps solid) bushings that would be cheaper and easier to find than the Gr.N bushings.

I like it!

Remember that there are some clearance issues with the Gastank in the front side of it.

I would also seriously consider dropping a piece of tube between the "mounts" where it mounts to the chassis. I've had stock ones break in half there...

Or another piece of .250 plate would do fine...sure you could whip up a nice plasma cut piece and throw your logo in there...
