the fronts are not identical in length just style and hardware.
The rear arm will be sandrail huge and the upper mount you see is for
the steer link mount.

ya I'm still going to use the exploder diff I can get gears for under 100
and a custom lsd carbon clutch plate diff for under 300. To be honest a
r200 off a skyline on ebay for 300 would be a better bet or supra but
keeping it in the family is cool to haha.

its not dead i have made some stuff that i haven't posted.

Nice William!

Anxious to see how the rest of the rear suspension/drivetrain goes together...

Sorry, I know you're well in to this build, but this is my first time seeing it.

The first post has me confused:

Quote

RWD Focus:

Why;
1 They are very plentiful there are over 2,000,000 in the us alone!

There are 2 million RWD Ford Focus in the US? Really?

I thought they were all FWD?

As produced, they are. The whole idea is to be able to convert them.

And think his goal was to make it as bolt on as possible. And clearly I'm using the phrase "bolt on", very loosely. Some metal work required.

right who knows whats gonna happen i love the car if you sit in one and drove it you
get a vibe of controle not from the car your up high you have little overhang and
you have a really tall roof for giants. There are over 2 million focus running around
i see the shells for 400 bucks and what not. I think the idea of the car now would be buy
and car tear it down to nothing do a motor with a stand alone and do a hotrod wiring harness
fuck everything in the car and weld a tunnel and weld two towers in and cut the wheel well
out and fuel cell. I would love to just sell the rolling chassis im not a wire guy a fuel guy
or a motor guy i would love to just build and sell a bare rolling shell with a full set of spares.

Speaking as an engineer in the middle of doing at least one car more or less from scratch (Locost, albeit one with mutations, like anything else done by engineers) the appeal of this thing to me is that even if there's cutting and welding and crap, in theory it's all figured out already. Cutting metal's easy enough, figuring out where to cut it's harder.

I want one.

Have wallet will work?
over the years i havent put one on a road yet but my ideas have gotten better simpler
and easyer to make i mad that rear frame in 5 hrs. i have proven all the other parts im
making already in what i have built for subaru arms and other cars i just need some one
willing to pay for a car the budget of 3000 dosint cut it like alot of the people i have talked
too that really like the idea on facebook its not a cheep idea but with a good amount of cash
the speck of the car should be quite abit higher than the R2 fiesta i would say it would take about
20k and tons of hand work to get that spec but hell people pay that for the subie they start with!
