Sean, Yeah, that's the plan. I still need to make that line. I'm waiting to finish the fuel rail to get the last few hoses in the engine bay made, and then I'll be making the vent line.

Sweet. I just did not want to see you post in a few months how your car starts missing after it runs for an hour....

Something I do wonder though, on the FIA bag style cells (Mine is FIA "hard" cell style), do you need a constant vent? Or only while you fill up? If you had no foam, as you use the fuel, the bag could contract, and there wouldn't be a vaccum?

One thing I've always wondered is why most of the fill plates are only sold with two holes for lines...

Edit:
Posted that figured I'd go to Fuel Safe's newest catalog. They do have one with all three in there now. They used to not...
Not that it's hard to drill a hole and install a fitting...

Double edit:
Oh wait, that one has always been there, they just used to say dual pickups not pickup and return...

I can't say for absolute sure of course, but the FIA spec fuel cell bladders I've seen are pretty rigid; it's not like those water bag jug thingies you can scrunch down to pack when empty, if they're sitting without the box around them the fuel cell bladders pretty much hold their shape. I doubt you could collapse one enough to do what you're talking about, I mean we're talking vulcanized rubber reinforced with kevlar here. The reason for the bladder is that unlike a metal tank, if something caves in the side, the bladder mostly deforms instead of rupturing, but in normal use they pretty much just sit there. I also sorta wonder if they're using any of the ideas of the old self-sealing fuel tanks from military stuff; it seems relevant, yaknow?

Ah, ok. I'd just always wondered how flexi they were.

Don' forget that there is fairly stiff open cell foam in the bladders.

Also, the foam is part of the whole safety deal there; listed as one of the purposes being that there's no continuous volume of fuel vapor large enough to burn well with the foam in there.
