no worries Sean, I'd rather do it like this than like you said "broken in one month".

That's odd, there was a gasket there when I removed it.

So I put back what I found.

What I'm saying is you can leave the gasket out and just use silicone.

For future reference: Brake Cleaner + Welding = no-no. http://weldingweb.com/showthread.php?t=32501

Isn't that only with certain types of brake clean?

I think we just figured out what's wrong with Grant!

I thought that was why the have regular brake cleaner and the non-chlorinated kind.

There's a picture somewhere from the old Galapago house garage where Steve, Mark, and I are using the diesel jet heater thing and a can of brake clean to make big fire balls. In the winter. In a closed 2 car garage.

That's why we ONLY have the non-chlorinated kind. smiling smiley

That seems logical. Phosgene is Cobalt(II) Chloride. So if there's no Chlorine, there's no way to produce Phosgene.

Now I'm a pretty mellow guy, but the one thing I'm a stickler for is chemistry. Phosgene is dichloromethanone, an aldehyde (double bonded oxygen and carbon) with two chlorines. Carry on.

I read it wrong. It's COCl2, not CoCl2. But either way, you can't form it without the Chlorine.

Well, it's all back together finally......... and ..... I love it!!!!!

Modulating the throttle during a slalom run on wet grass is amazing, there is actually a difference between throttle on and throttle off. Great traction on loose gravel too. The car is more predicable now.

The cornering is good, I do have to modify my line, but I needed to do that anyway. I have enough traction now to pull off that line under moderate throttle.

I do feel that the rear sway bar needs to be increased to help it rotate a bit easier now.

Thank you for all the help and suggestions everyone!
