Robin, did not mean anything by the blinker comment other than it scared the heck out of me. Thanks again for making room. Congrats on the second in G2.

Yeah - I figured you were just getting going when we saw you, but my co-driver kept yelling 'STOP!' Didn't matter to me - my mission was zen/fun anyway. You put in some wicked times BTW.

OK this is going to sound like an excuse - but

1) I don't think the RX will start in those temps (it was a bitch to get going at Pines and the Dellorto kept icing up on the transits)
2) I can't get the heater to make sufficient heat
3) I'll think of something else

I guess that was a few excuses.

I'll be there probly co-driving for Martin.

How's E85 in the very cold? Maniwaki also has that long fuel stint.

HAHAH!! it took us 30 minutes to get the car started at Pines. But i'm working on solutions.

Maniwaki does have the long fuel stint...i'm waiting for the supps. But....i do think that people running race gas are using more fuel than us! We are still running a very conservative tune. Iain mapped it on Thursday before pines, and we just made it safe. There is alot left in it, and i believe there is still fuel "economy" on the table.

Oh...and those are excuses. If i can get Ethanol to run at -30, you can get carbs to do it!

You should have a pile of fun at Shannonville with that thing though!

We've all been nice over here all along; we started this forum because we were not happy with the rigidly enforced "The Big Dog and Pony Show is Double Plus Good" unwritten rule and the blatantly obvious immoderate moderation by "persons unknown".

Aside from a couple of unrepentant troll/ Rally America cheerleaders and one pyschopath in BC this is a remarkably pleasant forum.

There's not even a moderator anywhere because we presume we're adults.

If somebody is a bullshitter, you can say that here.

Look at all the threads where people are finding others nearby (because of the requirement to have a real name and real location) and pitching in and lending a hand.
That was one of the main ideas as well.

I was reading David Amor's comments about RWD/FWD in another thread and it got me to thinking (having been a bit scared myself at the RWD on slippy thing).

So I went looking at some results from Pines. In 2002, conditions were similar to what they were this year (sandy with ice patches in-town and two icy grooves in snow out in the wqods). I ran the Iron Bridge Spectator stage this year: 5:41 & 5:32. In 2002 in a FWD P3 car (NX2000) I ran it in 5:18 hmmmm...

That's 'cause FWD P3 Nissans kick Ass!!!!!!!!!!!

O'Neil won Pines 3 times with front drive. Who cares what the spectators like to watch!

Makes me think that some want to be fast and others want to look fast.

I'd take either, I guess ;-)

common..answer is easy.

It's EASY as SHIT to flog a FWD car. Stand on the bloddy gas and aim the stupid thing.
