now if you said that in your head to the tune of the Wizard of OZ, then i don't sound silly.

But just got the bulletin that production classes are all being striked out from RA.

John,
I still can't quite figure out what you have against Subies.
The PGT car I competed in for 4 years was reliable, FAST, and tough.
(Gearbox excepted, but didn't start having mechanical DNFs until we went open)
Subaru has put lots of CASH in the hands of COMPETITORS on both sides of the border.
There is a lot of 'local' knowledge and development for Subarus.
Yah, Evos might suit some drivers better but for what-ever reason there are many more subarus on the road in the US.
Super Production rules were actually written to give Evos a 'production-ish' home under Rally America.

One simple question.
Have you ever built a Subie motor?

No.
Neither did the driver I co-drove for who pounded the shit out of it for four years on an aggressive tune on race gas in PGT, beating most of the 'open class' cars we went up against. (That motor is still rallying, 5 years after we retired that shell, without being opened.)
You might think it's noodly, tiny, inadequate stuff - just a guess - but just because it's not over engineered doesn't mean it's junk. I've known many cars - in stock trim - to take a pounding and come back for more. (Certainly more than I can say for any SAAB 96 I've seen)

Really? Was the Evo also the reason why the limit for engine displacement was increased to 2.5L+? Pretty sure the STi also benefitted equally from any rule that allowed for "de-braking" the cars to calipers and rotors that could fit under a 15" wheel.

Then shut the fuck up talking shit about things you haven't seen, never touched dont know how to do or what is important or not important.
You just seem to have a compulsion to talk about shit you know nothing about.
That's stupid Morison, stop it.

And there's no point in me wasting time because you have no clue one way or the other and like a lot of completely clueless people, you think everything in the whole fucking world is a matter of opinion and the truth, knowledge whatever will be found by you running your mouth.

Ever try sticking to things you KNOW, not believe you know?

John,
I love it when you back yourself into a corner and come out swinging. It'd be funny if it weren't sad.

When you've built 10-20 motors and have run them and done something and are not just a schmuck with a keyboard yapping about shit you know nothing about--then we can talk maybe, or you can listen..
Go pull wings off flies, plague somebody and someplace else.

You are one of the stupider people I have had the displeasure of being trolled by.

what is important or not important.

What is or is not important is the opinion of the people using the rallycar. For an overwhelming majority, Subaru motors are perfectly.fine and take the abuse well. My experience is the exact same as Keith, 30 events in a pgt wrx and not a single engine related issue period.

Once again, from a practical (or more importantly, relevant) standpoint, you are the one who apparently knows shit about the discussion at hand.

Little faggot, when you have seen inside one and then inside other motors you might possibly realise that sizes, dimesnions, design, those things are more important than the opinions of ignorant little faggots like you..
In other words reality vs the "opinions' of a young, insecure, fat, loser who is desperate to belong to a group, that he mindlessly repeats whatever "everybody" else says..

Saying you experience is the same as Keith is not really helping your pleadings---they are in no way argument.

Didn't you read that he has never been inside one, has NO FRAME OF REFERENCE, and that even the claim of 'beating on them" is all very subjective.....

I'm sorry, but by your own rule, until you have actually built a rational and logical argument, you are not allowed to have an opinion on this.
