First hand experience...

Yep seems like it---apologize you fucking grump.

Quote

you have rallied an AWD car ?

I did drive my AWD car about 4000 miles checking it out on snow and gravel and asphalt
But I bought a house instead--and paid a bunch of money to useless asshole doctors---and then I got married and JUST LIKE YOU DID, stopped..

And I did NOT try and assassinate your character--or diminish you results or the help you did when you quit
Which this load of shit is trying to do.

Quote

And stop with all the anecdotal phone call to the White House or Kremlin crap, it impresses no one over the age of 10.

And Gene---that stupid phone number was in response to your attack that I know nothing about AWD....and it may have helped some of the guys that asked for it, among others your Mitsu friend over in Enumclaw, and Dave Hintz and who knows how many others..
They seemed happy and full of thanks when I gave them the number.

Did YOU know where to send those welded shut Japanese Viscous diffs for upgrades?

You were stating I have no AWD experience...
Did you?

Quote

You really should take a step back and look at the large number of people who at one time or another take issue with your constant online abuse.

Actually it is a small number for whatever reason. One/two is a punk, one is a fraudster criminal, one an recluse troglodyte ancient fuck, there's this auto-crosser wanker who wants validation, , one is just a idiot.
not so many....

What about this Gene: I'm taking issue with your NEAR CONTINUAL inappropriate attacks like this shit.. People are talking, gene, and asking "What the fuck is with Gene lately?"

Quote

No one is really questioning your machining abilities, car setup maybe.

Yeah car set up maybe---eye rolling smiley

Quote

Limited slow SAAB fwd experience, no RWD, no AWD ,

Yeah according to you I never did anything, have no experience, maybe car set up but wait1 I make the full suspension for guys cars---that's machining---and I choose myself the valving in the insides of the stuff, and the springs

with NO AWD EXPERIENCE according to you, couldn't POSSIBLY knopw anything cuase I never rallied a AWD or RWD car....

And somehow people win Overall with my stuff..
Sheer luck and good guesing?

Quote

ever get a podium out here?

A podium?
A fawking PODIUM... Only ever saw a podium at Nagles Olympus

After the Mazda 323s suddenly appeared---and you quit----I was pretty consistently doing 3rd/4th 5th overall when there were usually 4 entered...
with that slooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooow old Saab..

Quote

Ever win an event out here?

No. Didn't take it seriously enough to invest the money...I was running a small business completely alone, and being a healthy male in the city (I valued chasing and fucking real pretty girls higher than just playing in the woods.. They were an awful lot prettier and friendlier than the collection of misfits and grouches I saw in the car world...

-----you MUST TRY and UNDERSTAND that I had spent 10 VERY INTENSIVE, more that FULL TIME YEARS doing a harder motorsport.
I looked at this rally bullshit as "a nice friendly pastime"

So 1st /2nd 3rd 2wd car after organizers always starting me in around 20th position---despite always --after you quit---finishing top 5. And of course you wouldn't know anything about that.eye rolling smiley

Quote

Ever get past seed 2 out here?

We had--before you quit---just 3 "classes" "Expert", "Experienced", and "Novice"...... consistent 4th and 5th overall, with a SLOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOW FWD car, beating every single "experienced" for years never counted for anything evidently...(how did I do it knowing nothing, and with such a slow car?)
You wouldn't know anything about that, would ya?eye rolling smiley

Quote

Quit trying to be the only answer and voice of rally.

I'm not.. Why don't you share more than just platitudes?

Quote

You're not.

I know. But many solid voices are sickened and tired of Morison arguing about things he doesn't know--and at his age obviously has no intention of learning---and lately you arguing. So they go waste time on facebook where there is NO DIALOG.

Quote

Try just being the good old helpful guy people need, not the asshole people don't. No one posts on here solely for you pleasure or displeasure. this is a community and some of us happen to like some of the others.

Hey Gene, i said I'm reaaaaaaaaaaaalllly getting tired of you first making some shit comments and then, when it is shown to be WRONG, not saying a peep.
So look bub you stated categorically "you have no AWD experience", I said I had--showed you piccies to show how fucking wrong---

No, you didn't... so ......

you should apologize and say you were just fucking blabbering.--

--as you are doing frequently.

As opposed to the 'other' voices?

FWIW, Gene specifically said you had no "first hand experience rallying an AWD car."

So, show the results of the event you actually started in an AWD car and I'm sure you'll get your apology from Gene.

Oh yeah re-reading his ranting that IS what he said..
So no, no experience rallying the AWD rally car I built,
but plenty of experience BEATING dozens of awd cars with a slow pushrod Saab

Sorry, my mistake..
I forgot that the experience of sitting in an AWD car on a gravel road that is a stage, imparts instantly something by osmosis compared to 1000 miles of driving on the same gravel roads that are not a SS.

John, you have no results to diminish, nor do I have any reason to. You're not relevant to anything in my world, other than trying to keep this sport going . My rally results far exceed yours. I have won regional/divisional rallies outright..beating GTXs and Talons with a very low budget operation. Managed to land number 9 on the national seed list. I rallied AWD, FWD, RWD, open diffs, welded diffs, posi diffs and locking diffs. No power, low power, big power, SU carbs, DeLorto, Mikuni, Weber, Hitachi and Carter as well as turbo injected Toyota and injected Honda. I've built dozens of cars and even more cages and quite a few engines. So fucking what?? I too ran my own business. I don't recall you ever being near the top of the regional pack. That is only relevant when you try to be a total authority on all that is rally. Quit trying to dodge issues by twisting words. The questions was asked about 4wd setup, what to do, what configuration. The question wasn't asked of you, didn't interrupt a thread you were discussing. You could have easily stayed out of it, but no you jump right down hie throat with a very childish response. So I merely ask..do you have any first hand on-stage AWD rally car experience? Not can you set back lash, not can you change studs in a case, not do you have a hulk of an Escort or whatever rusting away in your yard. Seems like an easy question.

I'm not the least bit grumpy nor have any desire to pick at you, nor do I give a shit what your two or three imaginary friends say. Totally without emotion , malice or vendetta. I do care about this stupid sport and many of the people in it. Can't you see the one common factor in Gene vs JV, Keith vs JV, Adam vs JV, Timm vs JV, Toby vs JV and so on. Chill out, really. I owe you no apology, haven't maligned your character. You are definitely wired a bit different, oh well. I think enough people see that now that your childish name calling and outbursts will be less effective. And no driving your Escort on gravel roads is not the same as rally. Walking past an Arrow in a museum is not the same as driving Lemans.

Better yet, I'll apologize..on your behalf. I'm truly sorry John is such an ass to so many good people. Even better for you I'll depart the forum so as not to be a constant reminder of your short comings as the True Guiding Light .

Feel better?

Exactly. It's the same as how tearing down a motor instantly imparts a kind of mystical knowledge of said car that cannot be acquired in any other way.

Wait.

You were being sarcastic, weren't you?

Oops.

Many laughs in this thread.

What a shame the troll just doesn't get it.

JVL if you would mellow out.... good things would come of it. Immediately launching into your usual of name calling ect accomplishes nothing positive for you. It's been a LOT of years since the 7th grade..... Grow the fuck up already.

Lane--you pay Brian Musson the $3400 you pocketed when you "sold" his motor to al Kun and add a little interest and charges for stonewalling and lying to him that you don't remember driving all the way to Marin County to drop it off and that you are completely broke....

and then you can call me a troll.

Until that conscious intentional pocketing of what Al paid for Brian's motor and box s is paid to Brian---with interest---you have no leg to stand on, no right to call anybody names...

Cause what do we call somebody who sells things that he doesn't own?

What do we call a guy who claims to have forgotten a 940 mile drive?

And once remeinded and when finally admitted, what do we call somebody who pretends they didn't sell somebody's property they didn't own?

That kind of person cannot lecture others how to behave.

Pay Brian and then lecture.

Snip of expected bullshit.

Been in regular contact with Brian. Not that this is any of your business. My issue with Brian does not concern you yet you insist on bringing it up time and again.

I can't wait to see you in person. I bet that you are very polite face to face.

Another thread ruined... or did this one start off ruined? I can barely tell anymore.

The useful/interesting discussion to bullshit ratio is getting so far out of whack on this forum, I think I'll quite for a while too... Not that anyone really cares if there are any active competitors here, it's just become a place to sling shit around anyway...

I guess I'll have to try to revive Special Stage, or finally sign up for Facebook.

Nice that you're in regular contact for all these years, but nicer would be to pay him the money Al mistakenly put in your hands...

And:

It does concern me.

He paid ME for an engine. It was done and paid for and he lost his 740.

He asked me if i knew where he could find a 240.

I put him in touch with you because I knew you had a couple of 240s and could do the install...That is what you do, work on cars.
And when you never installed the engine and he asked ME if I knew who might want the package

I put him and Al together.

When you pocketed the $3400 Al put in your hand, he called and asked where his engine was and if I knew where his money was and asked me to help him get his $3400.

He has forwarded all emails and has asked for help.

Call me a troll all you want, bring up all kinds of stale shit from 10 years ago, but
until that conscious intentional pocketing of what Al paid for Brian's motor and box s is paid to Brian---with interest---you have no leg to stand on, no right to call anybody names...

Now go pay Brian and stop derailing things..
Try offering some helpful tips on how to work on cars and how to drive---you have done pretty good with the ol 240, you could be useful and helpful instead of just being smug and snide.
