Making Head and Neck restraints (almost) mandatory, next year, will save rally!

I do like the product-agnostic (not that it matters, since all two FIA options are owned/licensed by Simpson now anyways) "Frontal Head Restraint" terminology.

Something different to save rally MUST have happened over the last 9 years, no?

Wow, it's 1970 again. I know about that. 10K bought a new Pantera. 2K bought a Pinto.

That form of kit car with the correct rules package could help save rally! I would buy, build one of those if there was a rally class for them. RWD wheel base rules track width rules and a minimum wieght and 3 years from now there would be 30 of these on stages!

First rally 2013
Rally car type AWD subaru
Total rallies as driver 6
Total rally cars built 2
Total rally cars caged 3
Total rally cars repaired from offs 4
Total years racing exp other then rally 19 yrs

If the package to build was $30,000, would you still agree?

Oh, just that in general "saving rally" in the past involved Travis and Ken showing up at events. The 2006 NEFR line-up is not looking that different from the 2015 line-up. Even with the bonus of Ramana in a Ford smiling smiley - Just pointing out that this has all happened before and rally will be saved.

And it worked so well, too all the previous times that everybody figured "One or 2 Star/Heroes will generate all this media interest and the floodgates to sponsorship for everybody will be opened"..
Just look at the start fields since the 1970s!

I thought you were saying Ramana was going to win.

$30k no I wouldnt buy one built for 30k. If I could build one to same specs for around $15k Yes I would rally one.
If I could buy a decent used one for 15k yes I would buy one.
If I know I could wreck it and 90% of the time it wouldnt be a total loss and a fairly simple rebuild then yes I would buy one.
If it was a competative rally class like every other tube chassis class in EVERY other motorsport then yes I would rally one and think it would help save rally.
