John, I didn't know that the threads were left hand on the driver's side! Dammit.

Might be a bit easier now!

2.6 it is on the rack. Do you think they'll take a 4.1(if that's what I have) as a core? I doubt they'll even know the difference.

Did you see my post in other thread about mounting the jack points you sent?

Merry Christmas Eve! John

Say nothing when the core's returned.

I'll look again.
I'm sick as a dog, I think I may be getting pneumonia so poor addled brain is clogged with icky stuff and it makes thinking slower than normal.

Welded up some adaptors to affix the shell to our home grown rotisserie made of two engine stands, which have been modified.

Both our Ford and Subaru engines are ready to go to the engine shop for cleaning and then will be back for reassembly.

Trying to do something every spare day on one car or another. :-)

Cheers! John

Spent today removing the rear suspension/diff from the car.

What am I keeping back there?! :-)

If someone actually makes that sexy square diff carrier that I've seen pics of, I want to go with that. Will I be keeping the hubs?

I'm assuming that folks are running coilovers in the back. Seems like little clearance between the body and stock damper for a coil-over setup, but I know it's been done. I know someone will educate me! :-)

Car is now down to just the shell and ready to be rotated on the rotisserie.

Still gathering parts for the tube bender hydraulic conversion, so hopefully cage construction will start in a couple of weeks.

Cheers! John

I cut off the bracket on the STA and welded new ones on too fit the JVAB rears. Some say that with some tweeking and pounding on the shell you can fit it with stock ones, but my 85 would absolutely not work.

I have a stock welded in. I too am hoping that the sexy square beam is done, but if not, I have bushings to make a custom diff mount and am on the lookout for a spare one.

Car will be driving by February 7th.

Thanks Andrew. I'm looking at the geometry wondering how it'll all go back together with sexy upgrades. I've got plenty of work to do before then! :-)

More undercoating and seam cleaning/welding.

More black lung.

Cheers! John

Early pic of new bracket.
I'll try to remember to go out and take a more current pic.

Is everyone running the stock rear hubs?

Thanks for that pic grant, it's worth a thousand words! ;-) I'll have some pics up this afternoon of what we did today.

Cheers! John
